UPDATE: The deceased man has been identified as 35-year-old Demonta Rattler of St. Louis City, MO.
Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left an adult male victim dead on June 2, 2025 in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood.
Shortly after 10 a.m., officers received a call for police help in the 1300 block of Hamilton. Upon arriving, officers located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in an alleyway in the 5900 block of Romaine Pl.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains ongoing.
