Update: A 44-year-old man was arrested for this incident. He has been charged with Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
Update: The deceased man has been identified as 43-year-old Shaun Mooring of the 300 block of Madison Avenue, Rock Hill, MO.
Homicide Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that happened during the early morning hours on April 21, 2025 in the 3400 block of North Market.
Shortly before 5 a.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the location wherein a man was shot. Upon arriving, officers located an adult male lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains underway.
