UPDATE: The deceased man has been identified as 61-year-old Gregory Brown of St. Louis, MO.
Homicide Detectives are investigating after a man was found shot on July 15 in the 2400 block of S. Wharf Street.
Shortly before 11 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the location. Upon arriving, they located a 61-year-old man inside a building with a gunshot wound to his back. He was not conscious or breathing.
EMS responded and transported the 61-year-old man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
