Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred on January 11, 2025 in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
Just after 2 p.m. on January 11, officers received a call for a shooting relative to a man in his 50s that had been shot at a home in the 4200 block of Michigan. Upon arriving, officers located the man suffering from a gunshot wound inside an apartment.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. A male suspect, 40s, was later located just after 7 p.m. in the 4500 block of Adkins. He was taken into custody. Charges against the suspect will be applied on with the Circuit Attorney’s Office. Additional details will be provided as the investigation continues.
