UPDATE: Teen Arrested After 20-Year-Old Shot, Killed in Wells-Goodfellow Store

UPDATE: A 17-year-old has been taken into custody and charged with First-Degree Murder. The juvenile is being held in-custody.


UPDATE: The victim has been identified as is 20-year-old Henry Armstrong. The victim’s family has been notified.


UPDATE: Homicide detectives are requesting assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to the shooting.


Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on September 21, 2025 in Wells-Goodfellow.

Shortly before 3:10 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at Schnucks grocery store in the 3400 block of Union Blvd. Upon arriving, they located a 20-year-old male inside the store suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed the 20-year-old man and an unknown male suspect were involved in an altercation to which the suspect pulled out a firearm and fired shots at the 20-year-old. The suspect fled from the scene after the incident.
