District 4 is investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured on July 8 at the Horseshoe Casino parking lot.
Shortly after 2 a.m., officers received a call for a “Shooting” at the parking lot and located the victim, a 42-year-old man, on the ground next to his car suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was unable to provide a statement due to his injuries and was transported to the hospital by EMS. He was listed in critical but stable condition at the hospital.
A preliminary scene investigation revealed the man was shot by an unknown male that exited a white vehicle and fired shots at the victim as the victim was standing next to his car. The unknown man then reentered the white vehicle and fled from the scene.
