District 6 is investigation a shooting that occurred outside MJ’s Tire & Tint Shop on August 5 in the Baden neighborhood.
Shortly before 3 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting victim at an Engine House in the 8400 block of N. Broadway. Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds being treated by firefighters and paramedics on scene. The victim’s girlfriend, who was with the victim at the time of the shooting, told officers she and the victim went to MJ’s Tire & Tint Shop nearby to make a purchase when a known suspect arrived. The suspect and victim became involved in an altercation at the tire shop. During the incident, the suspect retrieved a firearm and fired shots at the victim.
The victim was unable to provide a statement due to his injuries and was transported to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
