District 3 is investigating a shooting that injured a 38-year-old man around 2:45 p.m. on October 14.
The 38-year-old man told officers he was driving northbound on Interstate 44 approaching Park Avenue when he saw two cars driving erratically on the highway behind him. The man said the driver of one of the cars stuck a pistol out their window and fired several shots. The man said he then felt pain and realized he was struck in his arm by the gunfire.
The 38-year-old transported himself to the hospital. He was treated for a minor gunshot wound injury and released. The investigation is ongoing.
