Man Shot While Outside in Jeff-Vander-Lou

District 4 is investigating a shooting that injured a man on July 18 in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.

Shortly after 10:15 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting victim at a local hospital after a 36-year-old man was dropped off with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim told officers he and his friends were sitting on his friend’s porch in the 3800 block of Sullivan around 10 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan drove down the street. The victim said the sedan stopped in front of the residence where they were sitting and fired gunshots which struck the victim in his leg. The victim’s friends then drove him to the hospital for treatment.
