District 6 is investigating a robbery that happened around 9 a.m. on February 12 near Natural Bridge & Turner.
A 64-year-old man told officers he was walking home when he was confronted by an unknown “disheveled” male suspect who produced a knife and announced a robbery. The 64-year-old said an altercation ensued, and then he realized he was stabbed in the chest. The suspect fled on foot after the incident. Nothing was taken from the 64-year-old man.
The 64-year-old man said he walked home and did not contact 911 since nothing was taken and he believed his injury was minor. However, hours later, he realized the wound was still bleeding and sought medical attention. He was transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
