District 6 is investigating a robbery that happened on March 5 in the 6300 block of Sherry Avenue.
A 34-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman told officers around 7:50 p.m., they were sitting in their car at the location when an unknown male suspect walked up to their driver’s side window. The 34-year-old man said his wallet, which was sitting on his lap, was taken by the suspect who then took money from the wallet and ran from the scene.
The man and woman said they then drove down an alley attempting to find the suspect. They said they located the suspect exiting a car in the alley. At that point, the man and woman stated the suspect pointed a firearm at them and then left from the area. The investigation is ongoing.
