District 4 officers responded to a Hold Up in the 2800 block of N Vandeventer around 4:00 a.m. on July 27.
A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old man told officers that they stopped to offer help to two females who flagged them down while standing outside of a black SUV.
The men believed the woman may be in need of assistance; however, as they went to offer help to the women, one of the women produced a handgun and announced a robbery.
Taken from both men were their cell phone and wallet. Both women entered the black SUV and fled the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
