On Saturday night, Mobile Reserve and SWAT officers were called to the LaSalle Park neighborhood after reports of someone armed with guns.
Metro Air Support and SLMPD’s K9 located a 20-year-old man in the 1100 block of S. 14th Street who was armed with a rifle that had no serial number and an auto-sear switch. Our officers then located suspected narcotics on the suspect. He has been arrested and charged.
Officers continued to search the area and located several other firearms.
Our community is safer today because these illegal guns are off the streets! Great team work by everyone involved.
