Around 9:15 on Friday, June 20th, District 4 officers were called about people armed with guns near 20th and O’Fallon in the Carr Square neighborhood and then alerted to ShotSpotter activations in the same area.
When officers arrived, they found a group walking in the same area and attempted a pedestrian check. Three people started running from police — but they couldn’t outrun our District 4 officers.
Three juveniles, all 17-year-olds, were taken into custody. All three teens had firearms, one had an auto sear, making the firearm automatic. One juvenile tried ditching his firearm but K9 Admiral was able to locate it.
All three teens were transported to the Juvenile Building.
