On December 14, 2025, just before 1:30AM, District 4 officers responded to the intersection of N Leffingwell Ave and Franklin Ave. for an Accident with Injuries. When they arrived, they located a gray Kia K5 that had overturned.
One woman died on scene. Another woman was conveyed to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.
Accident Reconstruction Investigators were called to the scene.
Preliminary investigation suggests the Kia K5 was travelling eastbound on Franklin Ave approaching N Leffingwell Ave which is a T-Intersection. The Kia continued straight through the intersection, struck a boulder, and overturned.
Investigators have not yet determined who was driving the vehicle at this time.
