District 3 is investigating a stealing incident that occurred on June 23, 2025 in the 1700 block of Park Avenue.
Around 3:30 p.m. on June 23, a victim contacted police to report she had just arrived at her residence when she was approached by an unknown male suspect asking for money. At that point, the victim said she observed the suspect was in possession of items she had ordered in a package that was on her front. The victim inquired, and the suspect admitted to opening the victim’s package and taking the items from inside.
The suspect returned nearly all items to the victim, except a pair of brown textured pull-on shorts. The victim reported the suspect told her he didn’t have the shorts and then ran from the scene.
The suspect is still being sought. He is described as a black male, 17-19 years of age, with a short afro hair style, wearing a St. Louis Blues hooded sweatshirt, light/faded distressed ripped jeans, white socks, and multi-colored rainbow slippers.
