District 4 is investigating a shooting/robbery incident that occurred on July 25, 2025 in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.
Shortly before 9:50 p.m., officers at the Central Patrol Division were alerted to a 15-year-old male, a 14-year-old male and a 13-year-old male yelling for police help. Upon officers approaching the boys, they observed the 15-year-old boy had a gunshot wound to his foot.
The boys told officers they were in the area of the 2800 block of Stoddard when approximately five unknown male suspects appeared out of nowhere. The boys said the suspects robbed them of their belongings at gunpoint and then the boys began running away. While running, the boys reported the suspects fired gunshots at them, striking the 15-year-old boy in the foot.
EMS responded and transported the 15-year-old boy to the hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported. Detectives continue their investigation into the identities and whereabouts of the suspects. One suspect has been identified as 28-year-old De’Vontey Anderson and is being sought. The remaining suspect are still unknown. All five are considered armed & dangerous.
