Shooting in O’Fallon Leaves One Dead

Shortly before 1 p.m., officers received a call about a two-car accident involving a gray SUV and a white sedan that occurred at N. Kingshighway & Bircher Boulevards. Upon arriving, officers located an 18-year-old female1 suffering from gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of the white sedan.

EMS responded and pronounced the 18-year-old female dead at the scene. A male driver of the gray SUV was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries related to the crash. It is not believed at this time that the gray SUV is involved in the shooting incident.

A preliminary investigation revealed the origin of the shooting scene was in the 4200 block of Red Bud in the O’Fallon neighborhood. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting and the events that followed.
