SLMPD Detectives Dorrell Sherrill and Richard Edwards were recognized for their hard work and dedication after receiving the Major Case Squad Certificate of Merit Award.
Their exceptional investigation skills were major in the assistance of solving a 2024 Homicide Case in Bridgeton. Through their collective efforts, along with their excellent investigative skills, an adult man was charged with Murder 2nd Degree, 3 counts of Assault 1st Degree, 4 counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. A juvenile was also charged with Murder 2nd Degree.Â
