District 1

Update: The 40-year-old has been identified as Charles Brown of the 6500 Minnesota Avenue.

District 1 is investigating a carjacking that happened on February 10 in the 3600 block of Alberta.

On February 8, District 1 officers responded to a Carjacking in the 5600 block of South Grand, around 8:30 p.m. A 37-year-old man told officers he and a 21-year-old man were in sitting inside his Black Kia Stinger, at the above location. Suddenly, two men wearing ski masks pointed guns at them and demanded them

On February 1, 2025, around 7:30PM District 1 officers were called to the railroad tracks near the 7900 block of Michigan Ave. When they arrived, they observed an adult male laying underneath the stopped train. He died at the scene.

District 1 is investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on January 12 in the 4300 block of S. 38th Street.

Homicide detectives are investigating after the bodies of two unidentified males were found on January 7 in the 4600 block of S. 39th Street.

District 1 is investigating a stabbing that happened around 2:45 p.m. on December 6 at a residence in the 4800 block of S. Broadway.
