District 4 is investigating a shooting that left a teen injured on May 5, 2025 in the 1200 block of N. 8th Street.
Just before 7 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the location. Upon arriving, they located a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
The 16-year-old was uncooperative with officers and would only state that he was walking around in the rear of the location when he heard gunshots and then felt pain. The teen said he then ran home after the shooting.
EMS responded and transported the teen to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
