District 4 is investigating a shooting that happened on January 26 in the 1600 block of N. 17th Street.
A 16-year-old told officers he was walking around 2 p.m. when he observed two groups of individuals firing gunshots at each other. The 16-year-old was struck in his leg by the gunfire and then ran to the 1700 block of Cass for help.
EMS transported the 16-year-old to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
