Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 14-year-old boy dead on December 17, 2025 in the Gravois Park neighborhood.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., officers received calls for a shooting in the 3600 block of Oregon Avenue. Upon arriving, they located the 14-year-old outside suffering from a gunshot wound(s). EMS responded and transported the teen to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives are working to find out the circumstances behind the incident and what led up to the shooting. The teen has been identified as 14-year-old Samuel Williams, Jr. of St. Louis City.
