Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a teen dead on April 22, 2025 in the 2800 block of Minnesota Avenue.
Shortly before 2:20 a.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the location. Upon arriving, they located a teen male in the street suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS responded and transported the teen to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 16-year-old Jamad Edwards of the 2800 block of Pennsylvania.
An investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains underway. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Homicide Division directly at 314-444-5371.
