Update:
The dead teen has been identified as 16-year-old Marco Deloch of the 4800 block of Farlin.
On September 5, Investigators arrested a 25-year-old man.
On September 6, the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued charges against the 25-year-old man in connection to the murder of Marco Deloch.

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a 16-year-old male on August 11 in the Walnut Park East neighborhood.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 5500 block of Genevieve. Upon arriving, they located the victim in an alley suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his chest. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
