Three Injured by Gunfire in Fox Park

District 3 is investigating a shooting that happened on June 24, 2025 in the Fox Park neighborhood.

At approximately 10:35 p.m., officers received a shooting call in the 2800 block of Shenandoah. Upon arriving, officers located a 26-year-old woman inside a business suffering from a large bruising contusion to her arm. A second victim, a 17-year-old girl, was located in the 2700 block of Sidney Street suffering from a graze wound to her knee. While on scene, officers were advised a third victim, a 20-year-old woman, was privately conveyed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her chest.

A preliminary investigation revealed several females were preparing to fight each other at Fox Park when an unidentified male and female showed up in a sedan. The male reportedly retrieved a firearm and began shooting towards the females that were about to fight.

EMS responded and treated the 26-year-old woman’s bruise at the scene. The 17-year-old girl was transported to the hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition. The 20-year-old woman was listed in stable condition at the hospital but unable to provide a statement due to surgery. The investigation remains ongoing.
