On January 17, 2025 at approximately 5:19AM, District Two officers responded to a call for a hold-up in the 4100 block of Papin. When they arrived, they spoke with two men who stated they had just been robbed by one man holding a gun and another man holding a knife.
The 44 and 36-year-old victims said they had just parked their car and were walking to a nearby business to apply for jobs together. As they were walking, two armed suspects exited a vacant warehouse and announced a robbery. The suspects forced the men into the warehouse where they demand their cellphones and car keys. The victims complied with the suspects’ demands and pleaded for their lives.
After a few moments of deliberation, the two suspects let the 44 and 36-year-old leave the warehouse. The victims fled to a nearby business where they found a security officer and reported the incident.
Officers canvassed the area and discovered the vehicle the victims arrived in had been stolen. The investigation remains ongoing.
