A 26-year-old woman was arrested on July 25 and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action for stabbing a man after a car accident at Bates Street and Idaho Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed the woman engaged in an argument with the man after the car accident, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. During the argument, the woman produced a knife and cut the victim then stabbed him. She remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
EMS transported the unknown victim to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
