Woman Carjacked in Old North St. Louis

District 4 is investigating a carjacking that happened at approximately 2:45 p.m. on March 18, 2025 at N. Market & Hadley Streets.

A 32-year-old woman told officers she was sitting inside her Pontiac G6 when an unknown male suspect approached the driver’s side of her car. The woman said the suspect produced a firearm and then placed the firearm to her head while demanding she exit her vehicle and leave her property inside.

The woman complied with the suspect’s demands and exited her car. The suspect then entered the woman’s car and fled from the scene.

A description of the suspect and vehicle were broadcasted, along with a location of where the woman’s phone was pinging. Other responding officers located the woman’s car exiting a salvage yard in the 3800 block of Cote Brilliante. The vehicle immediately fled upon seeing officers, prompting a pursuit. The vehicle struck a car on I-70 while fleeing.

The pursuit continued into St. Louis County where it ended in the 1300 block of Dunn Road after being spiked. A 34-year-old man that was driving the vehicle was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
