Woman Critical After Being Shot in Hyde Park

Homicide Detectives are taking the lead on a shooting that left a woman in critical and unstable condition on October 1, 2025.

Shortly after 4:20 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at N. 20th & Ferry Streets. Upon arriving, they located a 31-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

EMS responded and transported the woman to the hospital where she was listed in critical/unstable condition. A suspect, a 46-year-old woman, was identified and located by Third District Officers. She was taken into custody.

An investigation into the full circumstances of the shooting remains underway. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Homicide Division directly at 314-444-5371.
