District 1 detectives are investigating a cutting incident that occurred on June 30 around 2:30 a.m. in the Carondelet neighborhood.
Shortly before 5:15 a.m., officers received a report of a woman that showed up at a St. Louis County hospital for treatment of lacerations to her hand. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim who stated she was at an apartment in the 7800 block of Bandero Dr. with a female suspect who she was acquainted with. During a conversation, the victim stated she made a comment about the suspect’s boyfriend to which the suspect took offense to the comment. At that point, the victim stated the suspect cut her on the hand with a knife.
The victim left the scene and conveyed herself to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
