District 1 officers responded to a Shooting-Just occurred in the 4200 block of Louisiana around 11:30 p.m. on August 31.
Officers were initially unable to locate anyone who had been shot. While searching the area officers learned that a 29-year-old woman had shown up at an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
The woman told officers she was a passenger in a vehicle, driving in the 4200 block of Louisiana, when she heard gunshots and realized she had been shot in the leg.
The driver of the vehicle immediately drove her to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
