District 5 is investigating a robbery that happened at approximately 5:45 a.m. on March 9 in the 4000 block of St. Louis Avenue.
A 29-year-old woman told officers she had just left a friend’s house and was walking to her car when she was distracted by an unknown female across the street. At that point, the woman said two unknown males wearing masks approached her.
The 29-year-old woman said one of the male suspects indicated that he had a firearm and demanded her purse. The woman complied and gave her purse to the suspect. Both suspects then fled from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
