District 4 is investigating a robbery that occurred on July 22 in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.
Around 11 p.m., officers were called to the 3200 block of St. Louis Avenue for a report of a 32-year-old woman that had been robbed near the alley of the 3200 block of Dodier. The victim reported she was walking back to her residence after attempting to meet with someone when she was approached from behind by two unknown men. The victim said one of the men grabbed her firearm that she had, and a struggle ensued over the firearm. During the struggle, the victim sustained an injury to her face. The suspects then fled with the victim’s firearm.
The victim declined medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.
