On March 1, 2025, around 3:30PM, District 6 officers responded to a call for a shooting at the Lee’s chicken located at 6140 W. Florissant Ave. When officers arrived, they located a 40-year-old woman who had been shot.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was inside the Lee’s chicken when an unknown vehicle hit the victim’s parked car in the parking lot. The victim went outside and began talking with the female driver of the car about the accident. When the victim stated she was calling the police, an unknown black male, armed with a gun, exited the suspect’s vehicle and began shooting at the victim. Both the male and female took off in unknown directions.
The 40-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries. She was listed in stable condition.
