District 6 detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a woman on July 1 in the Kingsway East neighborhood.
Shortly after 5 p.m., officers received a call for a “Shooting” and located a woman with an apparent gunshot wound to her leg in the 4900 block of St. Louis Avenue. The victim was transported to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition; however, she was unable to provide a statement due to medical treatment. Witnesses in the area reported the woman was possibly shot by an unknown male occupying a dark colored sedan.
