Accident Reconstruction is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on April 3, 2026 on Interstate 70 at Union Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation revealed that just before 1 a.m., the driver of a Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 when he lost control of his vehicle in the rain. The Ford was disabled in the roadway due to damage to the vehicle.
An unidentified woman stopped to assist the driver of the Ford Explorer. At that time, the driver of a Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound on I-70 and struck the woman and the Ford Explorer. The woman died at the scene. The driver of the Silverado, a 65-year-old male, suffered minor injuries.
Accident Reconstruction is handling the ongoing investigation.
